Pharmacy opening times, food banks and emergency contact numbers to use over the Festive period

Feeling low or worried this Christmas season?

You’re not alone. If you have feelings of loneliness, anxiety or feel down over this Winter period, talk to someone who can help. Contact your GP or telephone South Tyneside Lifecycle Primary Care Mental Health Service on: 0191 283 2937. If your enquiry is urgent you can call: 0303 123 1145 and this number is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Christmas can be a difficult time and at times like this some people feel like they might need a bit of emotional support to help them get through. The Samaritans service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, even over the holidays so that they can support people who need support around their mental health whenever they need it the most. They offer a safe place for you to talk any time you like, in your own way – about whatever’s getting to you.
