Entry Requirements
To apply for the School Led PGCE you must hold at least a Grade C or 4+ (or equivalent) in English, Maths and Science at GCSE level. You must also have a UK degree of at least a 2:2 grade. Evidence of an interest and enthusiasm for teaching children is also essential.
To begin placement in September, an enhanced Disclosures and Barring Service (DBS) certificate must be obtained. The application process for this is completed at the university during the Summer term by the administration team at Northumbria University.
