Northumbrian Water and One Day Creative delivered a fantastic interactive workshop to Year 5 on the Ripple Effect. The children loved revising their year 4 topic on The Water Cycle and learning about The Ripple Effect through drama and songs. They worked in teams to problem solve and came up with great ideas for saving water!

Transition to Year 3
Here you can find our useful information booklet about Transition to Year 3. Click the link below.
KS2 had a fantastic time competing in their Houses on Sports Day. Each class took part in 12 differentĀ sporting games amassing points as the morning progressed.
Well done to 16 of our year 3 and 4 pupils, who represented our school at the South Tyneside School Sport Network Y3/4 Countdown Cricket Festival 2022.
We took a Y3 team and a Y4 team, both were very strong on the day!
The Y3 team won three out of four of their matches. Y4 won all four of their matches.
The overall winner for the tournament was our Y4 team with a huge 394 runs over the four matches on the day.
Lots of talented cricketers in both teams, who we hope may go on to represent our school in years to come. As always our pupils were fantastic ambassadors for our school and displayed fantastic sportsmanship and manners.
Well done!

KS2 Success! – 17.5.22 |
Dear all,
Monday morning’s assembly focused on celebrating the many achievements of our lovely KS2 children.Ā We started by giving out certificates to the children who had entered the national ‘If I Were anĀ Engineer’ competition. All children who entered achieved either passes, merits or distinctions and some were even shortlisted winners with distinction: well done to our budding engineers! A special Congratulations to Harriet and Ibrahim, both from Mr Douglas’s class, who have been chosen as the North East Y3 winners and have been invited to an awards ceremony on Monday 23rd May at the DiscoveryĀ Museum!Ā Congratulations to our Reading Champions! These KS2 children were nominated by their teachers for their exceptional effort in reading recently. One of our lucky nominees had their name pickedĀ out of a hat and is taking home a Ā£10 voucher to spend on books of their choice. A huge well done to you all! Finally, Eva – from Miss Anderson’s class – showcased her dancing medals and trophies after being awarded First Place in the NCDTA North East Juvenile Tap Championship. What a fantastic achievement!Ā Well done everyone!

Dear all,
The final āend of KS2 paperā or āSATā has been completed today and we couldnāt be any prouder of every single child. They have given 100% and that is all we could ask.
But it is not just this week, but in the weeks and months leading to this point. Their resilience after two challenging years has shone through and no matter what results come back, the children are a credit to themselves. They deserve success now and in the future.
Throughout the week, every test has been taken in their stride and the camaraderie between the pupils has been heart-warming. Weirdly, this week is often one children remember for the positive feelings and being part of the group taking on the challenge and conquering it together. They have done this in spades!
We understand that SATs donāt measure their ability to be creative, play sports, be musical, be kind or measure how gifted they are. But the children have taken them as a chance to shine in reading, English and maths. Their attitude this week cannot be questioned and this bodes them well for the challenges of secondary school and beyond.
So it leaves us just to say āYour children are amazingā ā¦but Iām guessing you already knew this!
Thank you for your support not only this week, but throughout your childās journey with us.
Well done Year 6!
