A big thank you to ICT in Schools at The Word for loaning our school Virtual Reality Headsets for a week.
All pupils from reception to year six have been given the opportunity to try this virtual experience and find out how the technology works.
Congratulations to both our A and B team netballers. A Team came first in the league and B Team were placed 4th out of 12 different teams. Well done to all members who attended practices since September, showed dedication to perfect skills and attended many competitions after school.

Y6 had a great day when they were invited to Northumbria University for the day to find out about life as a student and campus life.
They completed problem solving tasks, group games and a treasure hunt around the campus.

Y3 had a great afternoon when the Community Police Officers popped into school to work with them. Children enjoyed learning about the role of a police officer.
Our Reception children enjoyed a taster session from Eco Art and Crafts, a company who uses recyclable, preloved and woodland materials. Sessions are aimed to inspires children to explore their imagination and take away resourceful ideas on how to reuse everyday household and woodland materials. Click here to see more photos.
Congratulations to our Mortimer Chess Club players. This term some of our children in Y6 have competed in an in-school tournament to represent the school at a multi-school final held at The Royal Grammar School in Newcastle last weekend.
Our students played very well against a tough competition and one performed so well on the day that he has now progressed to the next round of the tournament in Manchester. We wish him lots of luck!
