RGB had a fantastic morning mastering and fine tuning some very tricky gymnastic skills at Temple Park this morning! Great work from everyone.
School Council have recently completed a project on keeping our classroom environment tidy and safe. This is how you can help.
Do you want your child’s classroom to be messy and a tripping hazard? Read on to find out about ongoing problems.
Pencil cases and rubbers take up space on the desks and are not needed in class as the school provides pens, pencils and rubbers for your children. Also colourful and attractive pencil cases prevent your child from producing top-quality work as they will be playing with rubbers and fiddling with their pencil cases, instead of working ward.
As well as pencil cases we would prefer your child to bring in smaller bags and backpacks. (Our school sells a good size bag for a reasonable price.) The reason behind this is because teachers and children are tripping on the bags and their straps. This is dangerous as someone in the class could seriously injure themselves which is something we all want to avoid.
A little information for our Y6 parents: key details about the tests to help you understand how and when the tests will be administered, how the tests will be marked and how the school will support your child throughout the tests.
Just a gentle reminder that all children should have a full PE kit in school at all times. We are very lucky to be able to offer an even wider PE curriculum over the summer term and we have many external coaches and extra activities planned for all children throughout the school. These activities may not be on the timetabled days children are used to, please ensure your child’s indoor and outdoor kit is available in school at all times.
A copy of our PE kit can be found in the school brochure by clicking this link.
The A team represented South Tyneside in the High 5 School Games Tyne and Wear Finals. Hundreds of schools competed to get through to this stage so we did fantastically well to come third in the competition, winning bronze medals. As always, the behaviour of our pupils was of the highest standard, with teachers from other schools complimenting them on their excellent manners. They were a credit to our school!
