Children in Y5 enjoy a term each with the talented drumming teaching, Mr Bird. 5SK have just completed an eleven week programme of study where they have been learning to play samba batucada – a simple rhythm comprising of an opening break, main rhythm, which is broken into a cha cha break.

Some of our Y6 children are currently on a residential trip to Thurston Outdoor Education Centre. Just to update all parents and carers that they have had a ‘little snow’ but everyone is having an amazing time and are safe and well!
The weather hasn’t dampened spirits and activities have been adapted accordingly to suit the weather.
Our Y1 children have enjoyed learning about the Great Fire of London. They had a fantastic time writing just like Samuel Pepys himself, with a quill and ink.
As part of an event for the Mayor’s Charity, our choir were invited to participate in a concert at Temple Park Leisure Centre.
As always, our choir performed beautifully and were pitch perfect.
We would like to say a huge thank you to all who supported the school at this event.
Year 3 recently spent a fabulous day learning about life in Roman times. They discovered unusual facts about Roman medicine and surgery and tried some typical Roman food – not to everyone’s taste.
They are now looking forward to their trip to Segedunum on April 5th.
Check out some of our Y1 children having a fabulous time at an athletics event held at Temple Park on Friday.
As always, we were so proud of the effort, attitude and team work shown by our children. Both staff and children had a great time, as shown in the video!
Well done to all!
