Y5 Artwork Display – 31.1.22
Dear all,
Year 5 have been coming up with their own ideas about what we’re missing in the world and seeing their chosen idea through to a final design.
Challenged by local-born artist and inventor Dominic Wilcox, children’s artwork and first names can be sent to  https://www.littleinventors.org/ideas/ and displayed on their website.
Please let the school know if you have any objections/questions about your child’s work being displayed in this way. If you are happy for this to go ahead, we will let you know when your child’s work has been uploaded so you can see their creative designs for yourself.
Many thanks

On Friday 4th February, we will again take part in the NSPCC Number day. Children can add an accessory of green to their school uniform as we take part in the annual event with a variety of maths activities. Donations will be very welcome and payable via Parent Pay.

The money you raise could support Childline, the confidential helpline for children, whatever difficulty they’re facing. Or it could support services reach more schools with the Speak out. Stay safe. programme – giving children the knowledge and confidence to speak out about anything that’s worrying them, including abuse, so they can get the help they need.

COVID19 Update

COVID19 Update – 13.1.22

Dear all,

We feel it only correct to update you at this current time. Since returning to school last week we have been faced with unprecedented staff absence due to, in large, COVID19. The task since last Sunday has been to keep every class open and continue pupil’s education. With the number of teaching staff absent, many classes have been taught by different teachers including senior leaders.

Our staff have been fantastic in helping ensure that every class has a teacher who is well known to the school. This has kept disruptions to a minimum. However, we are now seeing increasing numbers of pupils test positive for COVID. Please continue to watch for key symptoms of COVID19.

Staff absence is a daily issue, but we continue to work to avoid closing any classes or year groups. This will remain the absolute last choice.

Thank you for your support and understanding at this challenging time.
