Y6 Reverse Advent Calendar for STARCH

16th December 2021A Stelling
Our Y6 children have been involved in a reverse advent calendar where, instead of receiving a small gift, they have brought into school small items to give to charity. They very kindly donated knitted hats, an array of toiletries and long life food products.
Our chosen charity once again was STARCH who work with asylum seekers and refugees in South Tyneside. The donations will be handed out to families next Tuesday as part of their Christmas celebrations.
Margaret from STARCH was amazed at the children’s generosity and thoughtfulness, as were our staff. A huge thank you to everyone and their families who contributed to help others this Christmastime.

Last day of term toys and Christmas jumpers

15th December 2021A Stelling

On the last day of term children are invited to swap their school jumper for their Christmas jumper once more.

Pupils in Key Stage 2 (Year 3 to Year 6) are invited to bring a toy on Friday from home. Please do not send any electrical devices which are able to communicate, take photos or capture videos such as phones and tablets.

We would encourage board games or toys where people can play together.

Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 do not need to bring any toys as there are many in their areas for them to play with.

Please note we can not take responsible for any loss or damage. All toys must be labelled and in a bag to carry home.
