25.6.20 Key Worker & Priority places for next week

25th June 2020Mr Bennett

25.6.20 Key Worker & Priority places for next week

Apologies for the delay, here is the current state of play.
Key Workers
Thank you to everyone who was able to swap or change, you were a huge help – virtual sticker of awesomeness to you all! We have one or two families to speak to in the morning to check places and then we are good to go (fingers crossed). Hopefully, without refusing anyone! Thanks for being so patient, numbers have risen so quickly these past few weeks.
N.B – There are no spare spaces for key worker places next week.
Priority Places
Thank you to everyone for signing up again. There have been a few new faces to fit into next week but groups will stay as:
  • Group 1 – Monday & Tuesday
  • Group 2 – Wednesday & Thursday
So if you were group 1 this week then that should be your group for next week. We will confirm groups for those children who’s first time it will be back in school next week.
If you missed the deadline for sign up, then feel free to contact me when I am in school on Friday and I will try my best to help.
Important – If you didn’t sign up, then you don’t have a place for next week, regardless of attendance this week or in Phase One.
Please note we can not guarantee, spaces or days available if you have missed the deadline.

25th June 2020Mr Bennett

25.6.20 Key Worker Places Update

Your help is needed!
Dear all,
we are over subscribed for key worker places on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week.
If you can managed in another way please let us know ASAP. We can move some to spaces to Thursday and Friday if that makes things easier.
If numbers can’t be reduced then some people will be refused places next week.
We appreciate how difficult this is and fully appreciate your help.
Please comment, message me or email [email protected] if you can change your child care needs.
Thanks in advance.

Week 14 – A letter from Mrs Cunningham (Thursday)

25th June 2020A Stelling

Hello everyone, it’s Mrs Cunningham here again.

What a hot day it was yesterday! I even did yard duty twice as it was so hot! As soon as I got home I had an ice cream. Delicious! Read this shape poem. Maybe you could do a shape poem about something summery!
Have a not so thirsty Thursday!
Mrs Cunningham

24th June 2020Mr Bennett
24.6.20 Update
Hello, I hope you are enjoying the sunshine!
As we approach the end of the summer term, we want to keep you up to date with key messages and plans. We know you will have lots of queries about school and classes from September and we will release this information as soon as appropriate.
Some messages for now…
Sign up cut off for next week
Priority and Key Worker Forms close tonight at 6pm for next week’s Phase Two Week Two. Thanks for the early sign ups. We will confirm places and groupings on Thursday asap.
Priority Form –

Key Worker Form –
https://forms.gle/QGGEXii3jAE2h3VKA
We will keep you updated as to sign up for the final few weeks of term asap.
Work Pack Deliveries + School Books
Staff will be out delivering the final work packs to help keep pupils going till our summer closing date of July 17th. Teachers are in school more often with larger numbers of key worker children, but continue to be active setting work and supporting online.
Year 2 – Mrs Grant and Mrs Allan will be heading out on Thursday with Mrs Keighery taking to the streets on Friday.
As other teachers finalise their plans I’ll let you know.
If you have any reading books, please could you have them out for us to collect. Thank you
Priority Year Groups – Nursery/Reception/Year 1/Year 6
Teachers are continuing to put some tasks on our online education platforms. If children are coming into school in group 1 or 2 then there will be some follow on tasks to look at. The teachers will tell the children what is appropriate for those in school. Feedback won’t be available, due to staff being with groups throughout the week. I will post tasks from Year 1 later today on Facebook and our Website.

Year 6 Sports Kit & School Equipment
We would appreciate the return of Year 6 sports kit and school equipment such as reading books. You can return these to our staff who drop off your child’s work pack, sending in via Key Worker children or priority children or finally you can drop off at school between the hours of 10am and 2pm when footfall is light.
If Year 6 kit could be in a clearly labelled bag with your child’s name, that would help us greatly.
Thanks in advance.
School Reports
Pupil reports have been written using our new school format and will be with you in July.
Thank you for your continuing support.

Week 14 – A letter from Mrs Cunningham (Wednesday)

24th June 2020A Stelling

Hello everyone, it’s Mrs Cunningham here again.

As most of you know, I like to watch Countryfile on a Sunday night. My two girls think it’s a bit boring and they say that they are not sure why I watch it. There was a little part of Sunday’s programme which I think everyone would have liked and it was all about shearing sheep of their thick winter coats so they do not get too hot in the summer sunshine. So, I thought that I would look for a little clip to share with you….but I came across something which I think you lot would think is much more entertaining. The lamb that didn’t quite want to act like a lamb should!

Week 14 – A letter from Mrs Cunningham (Tuesday)

23rd June 2020A Stelling

Hello everyone, it’s Mrs Cunningham here again,

Today you need to put your thinking caps on. Try to solve these riddles, puzzles and jokes.

What becomes wetter the more it dries?

A towel.

What has hands but doesn’t clap?

A clock.

What do you have to break before you can use it?

An egg.

What five-letter word becomes shorter when you add two letters to it?

Shorter. (Short + ‘er’)

Riddle: How many letters are there in the English alphabet?

11. 3 in ‘the’ and 8 in ‘alphabet.’

If a red house is made of red bricks, and a yellow house is made of yellow bricks, what is a greenhouse made of?

Glass, all greenhouses are made of glass.

What is easy to get into but hard to get out of?

Trouble.

If a brother, his sister, and their dog weren’t under an umbrella, why didn’t they get wet?

It wasn’t raining.

Haha!! Did you guess any?

Have a tricky Tuesday trying these out on people.

Mrs Cunningham
