School Council would like to share with everyone a short summary of the work they have undertaken this year:

Year 4 enjoyed their Ancient Greek Day celebrations. During the morning we tried some Greek foods including feta, honey, yogurt and olive oil. The afternoon was spent participating in the Olympic Games with games which included discus, sprinting and chariot racing (unfortunately not with real horses!).
A great time was had by all of our Year 6 children at their leavers’ disco last night! Here are a few photos of the night.
Year 6 held a fantastic VE Day Party on Monday to mark the end of their topic on World War Two. There was dancing, welly-wanging, beetle-drives, code carrying, gas mask inspections and lots and lots of food to share.
We would like to thank the Co-op on Mortimer Road for helping to provide some of the lovely food that the children enjoyed.
Well done Mortimer Primary School on achieving the Gold School Games Mark Award for their commitment, engagement and delivery of competitive school sport in 2018/19.
Y4 had a brilliant time at The Word learning how to program using Scratch. They made their own projects and programmed their sprites to move, speak and interact with each other.
