All of our Y3 children had a fantastic visit to Segedunum this week to finish their topic on The Romans. This was a brilliant opportunity as children were able to experience what life was like as a Roman soldier, how ordinary people would live, clothes of that time, food, home life and so much more.

Check out some of our Y6 children in action during activity week. We had great fun doing a wide variety of activities including orienteering at Cornthwaite Park, rock climbing, athletics, bowling, problem solving and swimming. We even made time for extra football, netball, cricket, trampolining, circuit training, athletics and much much more!

Mrs Cunningham asked School Council children in November could they suggest how we spend the £650 which was raised from Harvest Festival. We looked at the Oxfam website and after a long discussion purchased a number of items including: a goat couple, a beehive, “repair a well” and mosquito nets.
Y5 have kindly been given the opportunity to hom a ‘Snow-dog’for three days. Snow-dog ‘Gooch’ is the Nexus Dog which travels around the North East.
The children in Y5 have been donating money which will be given to the Snow-do charity, St Oswald’s Children Hospice.
Y5 have been on a ‘Snow-dog’ trail around the school, finding dogs with words and creating their own sentences. They have thoroughly enjoyed it.
