Hello everyone, it’s Mrs Cunningham here again.
Amazon send me book choices each week based on what I usually buy, and I buy lots of children’s books. Usually ones that I can share in assemblies. They sent me a lovely one yesterday and I would have loved to share it with you all on Monday in our big assembly. So because I can’t, I’ll do a bit of it today. It’s all about being kind.
In class there was a little girl called Ruby. She was always kind. Her mam had told her to always be kind. She wasn’t too sure what she did, but everyone told her she was kind. Until one day……
One day at dinner time she didn’t think she was….but she was.
A girl in her class, Tanisha, spilled her black currant juice all over her white t shirt and everyone on the table laughed.

Ruby wasn’t too sure what to do. She didn’t laugh, but she didn’t know how to be kind. So she told Tanisha that purple was her favourite colour, but Tanisha thought she was being unkind and cried.
Ruby worried all night. The next day she thought she would sit next to Tanisha if she could. At choosing time Ruby painted a picture of purple flowers and gave it to Tanisha who smiled and said she was kind.
Now, I know all of you know how kind you all are, even when you don’t know when you are doing it.
Missing you all and your kindness.
Hope you liked a few of the pictures from the book. It’s by Pat Miller.
Have a friendly Friday.
Mrs Cunningham
