Y5 Artwork Display – 31.1.22 |
Dear all,
Year 5 have been coming up with their own ideas about what we’re missing in the world and seeing their chosen idea through to a final design.
Challenged by local-born artist and inventor Dominic Wilcox, children’s artwork and first names can be sent to https://www.littleinventors.
Please let the school know if you have any objections/questions about your child’s work being displayed in this way. If you are happy for this to go ahead, we will let you know when your child’s work has been uploaded so you can see their creative designs for yourself.
Many thanks

Dear parents and carers,
As part of a new, exciting in-school reading project for our Year 3 children (and parents), we would like to invite you to donate any much loved stories which you have enjoyed sharing with your child. We hope to have this project up and running in the new year and would welcome all book donations with open arms. We kindly request that any book donations be brought into school before the Christmas break to help us get the project organised. This would support us greatly in our new reading venture.
Yours sincerely,
Miss Reid & Miss Nesbitt
Year 4 had a brilliant morning working with Newcastle University discovering more about their science topic about looking after our teeth.
Children discussed teeth type and how sugars in foods and drink effect the mouth. They investigated using dental tools to remove cavities and fill them!
There appears to be many budding dentists and orthodontists among our pupils… watch this space!
