Y2 and Y5 pupils enjoyed a safety discussion from local fire fighters today. They discussed how to keep safe and what to do in an emergency.
Parents are invited to attend an e-safety presentation on Tuesday 3rd October at either 2:00pm or 6:00pm. The meeting should last approximately an hour.
The meeting will explain how to use the internet safely. This will cover the safe use of mobile phones, e-mail, social networking sites by your children.
Children should not come to either of the meetings as some of the issues will be sensitive.
Please inform your class teacher or the office if you can attend either of the meetings.
Some of our Y5 children were able to experience a fencing lesson last week as part of taster to new sports in the curriculum. Our children took to it quickly, they listened attentively and applied the strong stance needed, the etiquette of the game and enjoyed learning some of the basic moves.
Great work Y5!
We would just like to take the opportunity to wish our Y6 all the best for the future. They have been an absolutely super year group and we will miss them all.
We wish them all the best for their move to their new school and look forward to hearing of all their future success.
Y2 had a fantastic morning of sport when they held their own sport day activities earlier this week.
On Friday 7th July a group of 11 children and 2 members of staff took part in the North East Sandcastle Competition. Based on a theme of Northern Inventors, the children from Y4 created an image of a light bulb, invented by Joseph Swan. Although they didn’t win the competition, the children worked exceptionally hard as a team to create the design in the one hour time limit.
